Compuprint announces the 4247 PLUS series

Compuprint is pleased to announce their re-commitment to the North American market with the release of their new Compuprint 4247plus Printer Series.

The 4247plus series continues Compuprint’s legacy of manufacturing reliable, high-speed impact printers for the most demanding industrial and logistic environments. A legacy Compuprint started over 20 years ago when they manufactured the first 4247 printers for IBM.

The new 4247plus series offers 4-types of connectivity in one controller card (Parallel, Serial, USB and Ethernet, with an option for IPDS over Ethernet), and offers blazing print speeds of up to 1,300 characters per second.

Pricing and Availability

The prices of the 4247plus models are expected to be in line with that of the previous line-up base printer cost and network controller. For a detailed price list, consult your Compuprint reseller. All 4247plus models are available immediately for sale through the Compuprint distribution channel.

RMC|Compuprint North America announces end of sale and support of legacy printer models.

September 19, 2016 - RMC|Compuprint North America, a leader in serial matrix printing solutions and the original manufacturer of the legendary IBM 4247 series, has announced the end of support on legacy Compuprint models, and the sale of their spare parts as of December 31st 2016.

“This decision was made to better focus our attention on the North American market,” commented Matt Skene, Marketing & Sales Manager for RMC|Compuprint North America. “The printer models affected by this decision were largely sold outside of our region, and therefore support and stocking spare parts for these models has never been a practical offering for us.”

This will only affect spare parts sales in North America for the following Compuprint models: 9058, 9060, 9068, 9070, 9078, 9090, 9100, 9200, 10200, and SP40.

This will not affect common part numbers that are still in use on their current printer line up.
